Welcome to the Recipes!

I hope you enjoy baking and eating these desserts and I would love to hear about your kitchen adventures. Please bear with me as I work on the website. Some of the recipes were developed for the site, while others were taken from various books I have written over the years or other projects that I have worked on.

Consequently, there is no one consistent format at this time. For instance, some recipes have numbered steps, so I have presented those as is. The recipes from my Baker’s Field Guide series feature Field Notes, Habitat and Lifespan information and I have left those in. Also, I use my stand mixer all the time and many of the recipes are written for that appliance. You can, of course, use a hand-held electric mixer – just know that your mixing times will be longer. The one thing that IS consistent is my desire to bring you delicious, fun recipes that work. Also, slowly but surely, the recipes will be re-formatted with metric equivalents and more images will be added as I go along.
